CARP FISHING
Carp fishing here is exciting. Anglers who think carp fishing is boring have never fished for carp on the Ebro. The huge fish population, common catches of 10 fish per day and the average of 12 to 20 kilos per fish is anything but boring. We take no chances with these powerful fish and use only dependable tackle with strong leaders and quality lines. The most effective technique here involves fixed lead with a bit longer hook link. Inshore fishing with feeder or match rods can be great fun. Here, the small to medium carp are extremely active and provide the perfect learning experience for kids and novice anglers.
For the more experienced, opportunities for trophy carp are excellent. Over time, we have developed ways to specifically target these bigger fish. At EBRO-TOTAL-FISHING, we have a variety of gear and baits to tailor your carp fishing to you, the fish and the season. Preferred spots can be pre-feeded so that fish are already there and feeding when you arrive. New this year are the FLOATLANDS Pontoons, which increase your fishing comfort and greatly expand your fishing options.
The population is so large that, with one method or another, Carp can be caught year-round. Even under marginal weather conditions, carp are always feeding somewhere, even during the spawn (early April until sometime in May). However, the latter part of May and the autumn months of October thru November offer the greatest chance to catch truly trophy specimens.
If you’re really eager to get started, you can contact us to arrange a plan whereby we can pre-feed your fishing spot with one of our tested and proven carp-getters. Keep in mind that the right bait – the one the fish prefer right now – varies from season to season and, depending on conditions, even from day to day. But, no problem. At EBRO-TOTAL-FISHING, we know what they want and when they want it.
